This list was prepared by the Conservation Committee of the Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. based on information sent in by members and recognized authorities of our State Horticulture College.
These Virginia native plants need protection as they are rare and difficult to grow.
They may be used in flower shows as follows:
A. In educational exhibits, if nursery grown. Such plants must be rooted and labeled.
B. Those marked with an (*) may also be used in artistic designs, horticulture classes or any other class not specified as education, if grown by the exhibitor and so marked.
